How To Prepare Aloo Vada (Bangaladumpa Vada)



Aloo Vada




Ingredients


    •     Oil for deep frying
    •     mustard seeds - 3 gm
    •     curry leaves -   2 gm
    •     turmeric powder - 2 gm
    •     red chilli powder - to taste
    •     potatoes - 300 gm
    •     green chillies - 3 gm
    •     ginger - 4 gm
    •     garlic -  3 gm
    •      lemon -     1
    •     coriander leaves(Kottimera) -  10 gm
    •     Salt - to taste
    •     gram flour (sanagapindi) - 125 gm
    •     Water
    •     turmeric - 2 gm
    •     crushed cumin (jilakarra) -  2 gm
    •     soda bi-carb - 1 1/2 gm


    Preparations:

     
    Wash the potatoes and boil ,then peel and smash them.cut together the green chillies, garlic, ginger and the coriander leaves.



    Method:


    Take kadai and add oil to it.when the oil is hot and add mustard seeds,curry leaves, mix rest of the ingredients and add to smashed potatoes.Then taken mixture in to equal size and dip each ball and deep fry until golden brown  color.Then garnish and serve hot with jam or chutney.
