Vegetable soup (Mukkala pulusu)





Ingredients:

  •    Drumstick (munagkaya) - 1-2
  •    Brinjal (vankaya) - 2-3
  •     Lady finger - 4
  •     Tomato - 2
  •     Onions - 2
  •     Tamarind - 10gms
  •     Coriander Seeds - 1/4tsps
  •     Cumin Seeds - 1/2tsp
  •     Black Pepper - 1/2tsp
  •     Red Chilies – 2
  •     Red chilli Powder - To Taste
  •     Turmeric Powder - Little
  •     Salt to Taste
  •     Oil - 3tsps
  •     Fenugreek Seeds (Mentulu) - Little
  •     Mustard Seeds - Few
  •     Curry Leaves – Few
  •     Asafoetida (Inguva)- Little
  •     Coriander for Garnishing


Preparations:


         
 Wash the  brinjal,drumstick,tomatos,onions and cut it into medium size pieces.Tamarind we deep in to water for 7 minutes.


Method:


Heat the kadai and add oil to it.When oil is hot add Mustard Seeds,Cumin Seeds,Coriander Seeds,Red Chilies,Fenugreek Seeds and fry.Add onions and fry.Now add tomatoes and fry.Then add turmeric Powder,chilli Powder,asafoetida,salt and fry.Now add all vegetables and fry for 7 minutes.Now add tamarind water and boil 10 minutes.Transfer Pulusu in to bowl and garnish with coriander.Serve this Ingredients:



Points to Notice:
    

Along with we can add lady’s fingers, potatoes,cucumber, radish etc. to prepare this Pulusu.
