Fenugreek Leaves dal curry




Ingredients:
  

  •      Fenugreek Leaves(Menthukura) – 25gms
  •     Red gram or Green gram(Kandipappu) - 50gms
  •     Tamarind – 5gms
  •      Tomato - 1
  •     Green Chilli - 4 or 5
  •     Fenugreek Seeds(Menthulu) – 3-4 Seeds
  •     Black Gram(Minumulu) – 1tsps
  •     Mustard Seeds – 1tsp
  •     Cumin Seeds(Jilakarra) – 1tsp
  •     Red Chili Powder – To Taste
  •     Turmeric Powder – 1/4tsp
  •     Onions - 1
  •     Salt to Taste
  •     Asafoetida (Inguva) – A Pinch
  •     Oil – 3tsps
  •     Curry Leaves-Few



Preparations:
 
            

Take green gram or red gram in a bowl  and wash them.and Fenugreek Leaves       in  separate bowl and wash.add some water in both and in that add green chilli,turmaric powder,,tomato,tamarind and cook for 15 minutes.after the cook we mix dal,akukura,tamarind,salt and paste it.



Method:
 

               
Heat a pan and add oil to it.When oil is hot add  Mustard  Seeds, Black Gram,Cumin Seeds, asafoetida and fry.Now add onions,curry leaves,coriander leaves and fry.Now add dal paste and  mix  some  water and cook for 5 minutes. Now transfer this to a serving bowl and serve hot.Then serve with Rice,chpathi.


Points to Notice:

 

 we prepare dal curry with vegetables or remaining aakukuralu same way.
