How to Make potato Fry (Bangaladumpala vepudu)


Two tyes:

1) Boiled
potato fry
2) With out boil
potato fry

Ingredients:


  •     Potatoes – 250gms
  •     Cumin Seeds – 1Tbsps
  •     Oil – 4Tbsps
  •     Green chilli - 2
  •     Red Chili Powder – To Taste
  •     Salt –To Taste
  •     Turmeric Powder – Little
  •     Mustard - 1 Tbsp
  •     Black Gram - 1Tbsps

1) Boiled potato fry



Boiled Aloo Fry



Preparations:


First wash the potatoes and cut in to pieces and add water 20ml and cook the  potatoes for   6-7 minutes.After remove the peels of potatoes.



Method:


    
Heat the kadai and add oil to it.When oil is hot add Mustard,black gram,cumin seeds,red chilli and fry.Add the cooked potatoes pieces and add salt and turmeric powder.Cook for 5 minutes after add red chilli powder.Then serve hot with plain rice.



2) With out boil potato fry



Aloo Fry With Out Boiled



Preparations:


     
First wash and peel the potatoes then cut into thin slices.


Method:

Heat the kadai and add oil to it.When oil is hot add Mustard,black gram,cumin seeds, red chilli, salt, turmeric powder and fry.Add the potatoes and fry till crispy and add red chilli powder. Then serve hot with plain rice.


Points to Notice:

  • We remove potato peel.with out removing peel  potato fry change color to red fast with out being crispy. 
  • Cook the potatoes till they are just cooked.Over cooked potatoes become mushy when fried.
